About Me
I have been running for over 20 years and have completed 15 marathons, with many 5Ks, 10ks, and half marathons in between. I’ve coached myself and others to personal bests while enjoying the process. I’ve also personally had races that went downhill, and have learned from my mistakes.
I believe that running is for everyone, regardless of pace or distance. I became a coach because I love learning about running and helping people. Whether you are just beginning running for fun or have a race in mind, I would be thrilled be a part of your journey.
If the cost of a coaching plan presents a barrier for you, please let me know.
Coaching Tenets
Gradual Progress: Building running fitness requires a consistent buildup of mileage. Training is structured around progressive increases in distance first, and then intensity. We have to buildup to get to high mileage and longer workouts, and then take recovery weeks.
Consistency and accountability-Part of the value of a coach is accountability. We all need to skip a run or workout here and there due to life and recovery, however as a whole I expect athletes I coach to honor the commitment they made to themselves in training.
Easy miles- intentionally easy running is often overlooked- it is key for recovery and aerobic development. And, it helps you enjoy running more!
Race Day Ready: We’ll discuss and practice race-specific strategies—especially fueling—long before your goal day. That way, you’ll show up confident, prepared, and ready to perform.
